Our Teachers

MARGIE SCIACCA - Hello, I feel so lucky to be part of the Wombats team, and I value my role as the Director and Early Childhood Educator. I have worked in a variety of education settings over the last 25 years, and I love working with the 3 & 4 year old age group! I'm passionate about supporting children's development through Early Childhood Education. With the support of our amazing staff and the incredible program that we provide, I love watching & encouraging children to develop into confident and creative learners, ready to engage in preschool by the end of their year at Wombats.

Mel Miller-Kelly - Hi, I’m Mel! I’ve been working in early childhood education for over five years and hold my Certificate III, with my Diploma nearly finished. As a mum of two who have both attended Wombats Playschool, I’ve seen just how special the program is in helping little ones feel safe, confident, and ready for school. I’m passionate about early learning and love creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and be themselves. I really value open, honest communication and enjoy building genuine connections with families.
LYNDAL BROWNE - Hi, I have been working with the Wombats team for about 6 years. I have seen how the Wombats program benefits the children in preparing them for Preschool and also how much they learn and grow with my own child coming through Wombats. I very much enjoy getting to know both the children and their families and seeing how much they learn and grow throughout the Wombats year and are then ready for the transition to Preschool the following year.

SUE FRENCH - Hi, I'm Sue and I hold the Office Manager Role at Wombats and I have a lot of fun helping out in the classroom occasionally as well. I have loved working at Wombats for the past 20+ years and I understand how wonderful our playschool program is & how important education & care is for young children. I love seeing how engaged children are in the playschool environment when learning through play. With both my girls going through Wombats, I saw close up what an important role the Wombats program plays in children’s development and growth.
