Our Teachers

LIZ REBETZKE - Hi, I have been lucky enough to work at Wombats Playschool as the Director and Early Childhood Teacher for the last 23 years, I have worked in a variety of Early Childhood settings over the last 31 years of my career since I graduated with my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood in Brisbane. I absolutely love 3 and 4 year olds and am passionate about supporting their development in so many ways, with our amazing staff and incredible program we watch our 3 year olds who start our program develop into confident and creative learners and ready to engage in Preschool by the end of their Wombat year.

SUE FRENCH - I have two hats at Wombats and love both of them, I am the Office Manager as well as the Wombats Teachers Assistant on Monday's & Wednesday's. I have worked at Wombats for the last 17 years and understand what an important role education and care plays for children. With both my girls coming through Wombats, I saw close up what an important role Wombats plays in children’s development and growth.

LINA WHITELUM - Hi, I have been a part of Wombats as a Teacher’s Assistant for the last 14 years. LYNDAL BROWNE - Hi, I have been working with the Wombats team for about 4 years.  I have seen how the Wombats program benefits the children in preparing them for Preschool and also how much they learn and grow with my own child coming through Wombats.  I very much enjoy getting to know both the children and their families and seeing how much they learn and grow throughout the Wombats year and are then ready for the transition to Preschool the following year.
